Anthony De Ceglie is a prominent Australian journalist and media executive, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Perth Bears, an NRL expansion club established in Western Australia.
As of May 2025, De Ceglie transitioned from media to sport administration with his appointment as CEO of the Perth Bears, bringing strategic leadership experience and media savvy to the club’s ambitious NRL bid.
De Ceglie began his journalism career at The Collie Mail in regional WA before advancing to editorial leadership roles at major metropolitan newspapers, including serving as Deputy Editor of The Sunday Times, PerthNow, and The Daily Telegraph in Sydney.
From January 2019 to April 2024, he held the position of Editor-in-Chief of West Australian Newspapers, including The West Australian, and later assumed the dual role of Director of News and Current Affairs and Editor-in-Chief at Seven West Media.
